Hrithik Roshan has admitted that his health suffered as a result of the junk food diet he was put on in preparation for Guzaarish.
The normally health-conscious Roshan was made to forgo his workout regime for six months and binge on junk food to put on weight for his role as a paraplegic in the film.
“I had the liberty to have fried stuff because I had to look fat in some parts of the film,” he said.
The 36-year-old actor said that it was the first time in 15 years he was able to eat whatever he wanted to, although he confessed that the change affected his health for the worse.
“For 15 years, I lived a healthy life with a proper diet and workout. My medical reports had gone crazy with such a major shift and doctors were forcing me to stop,” he added.
Roshan stars alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish, released on November 19.
