The Hongkong and Sanghai Banking Corporation Limited on Wednesday launched Amanah, the bank’s Shariah-compliant financial services unit, in Bangladesh.
HSBC officials at a news conference in a city hotel also announced the launching of a flagship Amanah branch in Gulshan and the entire range of products to be offered under the unit.
The HSBC head of international, Asia Pacific, Guy Harvey-Samuel, HSBC Amanah global deputy chief executive officer Razi Fakih and HSBC Bangladesh chief executive officer Sanjay Prakash addressed the conference.
Amanah personal banking products include current account, savings account, term investment, personal finance, personal finance, vehicle finance, and home finance. Amanah commercial banking products include documentary credit, guarantee solutions, import finance, short-term financing, term financing, term investment, internet banking, current account, and short-notice investment.
