The Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations will begin on Tuesday. The examinations will end on May 31. On the first day, Bangla first paper examination will be held.
This year, 7,79,441 examinees will take the exams under the 10 education boards.
The chairman of the Board of Secondary and Intermediate, Dhaka, Fahima Khatun, told New Age that all the preparation was made for the examinations.
She told New Age that people with disabilities would get 15 more minutes in the exams halls.
Many teachers, guardians and students, however, expressed their concerns about power cut during exam hours.
Fahima said that there would be no problem during examinations. ‘Yesterday I talked with the power secretary and he assured us that there would not be any problem during examinations,’ she said on Friday.
This year, 14 students registered to take the examinations in Lybia. Earlier, there was a concern whether the examinations were held in Lybia because of the political unrest there.
