Ami phaisa gechhi known popular singer Hyder Husyn has added a new dimension to his artistic career as a singer by releasing a qawwali album.
Hyder Husyn, who has already earned huge plaudits from the audience by presenting different genres of music dealing with various issues, is very optimistic about the latest album titled ‘Qawwali Hyder Husyn and Brothers’.
‘I am from old Dhaka where qawwali is considered as the traditional music form. I have always been interested in qawwali and at last released my first qawwali album,’ Hyder Husyn told New Age.
The talented musician also informed that he has composed all the eight songs of the album. Lyrics of the songs are written by him and others including Syed Afzal Husyn, Samoul Zaman, Syed Faiaz Husyn.
‘Some of the songs are Urdu while some are Bangla,’ added Hyder.
In his qawwali album, Hyder’s songs deal with love and spirituality. ‘Some of the songs are romantic while others are devotional. For example, songs Allahumma and Ilm Danish are purely spiritual narrating the beauty of almighty Allah and Islam whereas Rukh sei nakab is simply a romantic song.’
About the musical composition of the qawwali album, Hyder said, ‘I have used guitar and other modern instruments along with qawwali instruments like tabla and harmonium. But, the listeners will get the real flavor of qawwali music.’
The album, which has been recorded by production house V-series, is available in the market. Earlier Hyder Husyn has created some remarkable numbers including Phaisa gechhi, Trish bachhor, Gonotrontro, Buddhijibi and others.
Hyder has already established himself as an artiste who deals with unique themes. In his songs, the listeners get the glimpse of the daily life difficulties, misuse of power, the deviation of the spirit of the liberation war and others.
