Hydraulic horns of 13 vehicles seized

Department of Environment (DOE) yesterday filed cases against 24 vehicles in the city and realised Tk 19,000 in fines for violating sound pollution rules. The DOE team also seized hydraulic horns of 13 vehicles.
The team conducted the drive to create awareness among the drivers and the passengers. They also distributed leaflets and pasted stickers on the cars.
DOE Director Dr Mostafa led the drive. Magistrate Farzana Siddika, Dhaka Metropolitan Police and BRTA officials assisted the team.
