Tahsan up close and personal
Popular singer and actor Tahsan is currently occupied with completing his upcoming works for Eid. The artiste has released his sixth solo musical album this Eid. His new album titled Uddesho Nei has hit the market on Thursday. It features 11 songs including Ke Tumi, Shesher Gaan, Uddesho Nei, Koto Dur, Tomay Ghire, Hisaber Obhishap and others.
‘I have worked really hard for the songs and if my fans love the tracks, I would feel that the hard work has paid off,’ the artiste added.
However, music is not the only thing that he has to offer his fans this Eid. His popularity as an actor makes him one of the most sought after artistes for teleplays and Tahsan has worked in four of them, all awaiting to be screened during Eid.
His teleplays for this Eid which will be aired on different television channels are Old is Gold, Somporker Golpo, Uddesho, Hotath Tomar Jonno.
The multi-talented artiste confessed that he is more interested in music than in acting.
‘I am devoting more time to music and I act in very selected teleplays which have strong storylines or offer really interesting characters,’ said Tahsan who also informed that in future he will try to act only in those teleplays where he will get the opportunity to sing.
Tahsan is yet to decide where to celebrate Eid this time and he doesn’t spend much energy in shopping. ‘My wife Mithila generally does all the shopping for me. However, a great joy of Eid is to exchange gifts with friends and family members,’ shared Tahsan.
Tahsan was a member of Black band during 2000–2005 before he started running solo. Tahsan also opened a band Tahsan and Sufis in 2012. Besides music, Tahsan has also received huge popularity in acting, especially in Afsana Mimi’s teleplay series Kachher Manush. Besides, being a musician and actor, Tahsan, who has an MBA from the University of Minnesota in USA, is also a faculty member of BRAC University.
