Nishita Barua reveals
A musical album titled Brishti Nimontron is going to be released internationally in three countries: Bangladesh, England and India. Nishita Barua, close-up 1 star, will record one song for the album for which Rudro Rajat has penned the lyrics and Rajon Saha has composed the songs.
Earlier in 2012, Rajon Saha, music director of the album, has worked with Nishita in the album Bhalobashar Brishti through which the singer got international exposure for the first time.
‘I didn’t know that the album will be released internationally when Rajon Saha offered me to sing in his first album. I agreed because I liked the song’, Nishita said.
‘Songs from my last album were rich in melody and I am hopeful about my song for the new album. Dada (Rajon) has done his work very sincerely.’
The album will be released sometime in monsoon as it is titled Brishti Nimontron.
Nishita is known as a folk singer but she doesn’t want to be marginalised into any specific genre. ‘I don’t know why people call me a folk singer. In the talent hunt show, I had proven myself to be versatile as I performed songs from all different genres’, she said.
After five years, she is working on her second solo album. The title for the album is yet to be decided. Three songs have already been recorded of which two have been composed by Nishita herself. She is planning to work more regularly in this industry, having shifted her base to Dhaka permanently.
Her first solo Amay Niye Cholo was released in 2007 and it was an instant hit. After that she has given her voice in a commercial for Unilever. The talented singer has also done some playbacks in Dhallywood movies. In her musical career, the multi-talented singer has also worked as a RJ for a local Radio Station and as a television presenter.
Because of her unique style and powerful voice, Nishita continues to be a popular icon in the rapidly growing Bangladeshi music industry.
