The International Cricket Council announced on Tuesday that Bangladesh will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024.
The four nations chosen to host women’s white ball competitions from 2024 to 2027 are Bangladesh, India, England, and Sri Lanka, according to the ICC Board.

India will host the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025, and if Sri Lanka qualifies for the tournament, they will host the ICC Women’s T20 Champions Trophy in 2027.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, the chief executive officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, was quoted by the ICC as stating in a statement, “Getting the hosting rights for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is excellent news for Bangladesh cricket.”
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the ICC Board on behalf of the BCB for choosing Bangladesh to host this important women’s event at a time when the women’s game is thriving and growing.
The event will encourage young girls and aspiring female cricketers to dream big, making it especially significant for women’s cricket in Bangladesh.
“Our women have steadily advanced in the game of cricket internationally, and this global championship being held at home will be the perfect chance to prove that we can compete with the best.”
I am confident that we will hold a world-class tournament in 2024 because Bangladesh has a rich history of staging prestigious ICC events, he added.
