More than 250 undergraduate students of different universities of the country took part in the Inter-University Mathematics Olympiad 2010 on the North South University campus in the capital on Thursday.
The NSU’s electrical engineering and computer science department in collaboration with Bangladesh Mathematical Society organised the meet aimed at creating awareness for the development of mathematics skills of young talented university undergraduate students of Bangladesh.
The day-long national event included Olympiad Examination, mobile SMS-chain quiz competition and a seminar, said a press release.
NSU Trustee Board chairman Azim Uddin Ahmed distributed certificates and crests among the winners at the concluding programme presided over by Hafiz GA Siddiqi.
AFM Khodadad Khan, professor of mathematics of Dhaka University and other senior teachers and officials of different universities were also present on the occasion.
