The activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chattra Shibir have attacked Adabar Police Station in the city on Tuesday night, police said.
During the attack, the activists of Jamaat-Shibir fired shots and blasted at least 3 to 4 cocktail aiming at Adabar Thana, police said. Duty Officer of Adabar Thana SI Anwar Hossain said some activists of Jamaat-Shibir attacked Adabar Thana around 11 pm on Tuesday by firing shots and blasting cocktail.
When the police made counter attack firing shots and tear shells, the activists of Jamaat-Shibir fled, he said.
After the attack, high police officials and member of Rapid Action Battalion jointly started red drive at Mohammadpur and its adjacent areas to nab the suspected attackers, he informed.
