A fire broke out at Jiban Bima tower in the Dhaka city’s Matijheel area on Wednesday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated on
the 14th floor of the 21-storey building at about 11.55am and soon spread around.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
The extent of losses from the blaze could not be ascertained immediately, the fire service sources added.
