Popular folksy-fusion band of the country Joler Gaan has already gained huge acclamation of the listeners for their melodious songs and unique music. Good news for Joler Gaan fans is that their favourite band is going to release its second album Patalpurer Gaan, after a great success for its first album Otol Joler Gaan. The album, which is scheduled to hit market on June 1, features 10 tracks including one instrumental track. The songs include Ek Cup Cha, Gitol Chithi, Andhar Raite, Ei Pagol, Shunno, and others.
About the songs, one of the vocals of the band Saiful Islam Jarnal shared that they have already presented the songs at different concerts to see reactions and responses from the crowd. ‘And we have finalised the songs as the reception was really good,’ Jarnal added.
Jarnal also informed that initially they were planning to release the album on Pahela Baishakh. The reason behind a short delay is explained by Jarnal, ‘we never compromise with the quality of the songs and thus we have rescheduled the date as the songs were not completely prepared’.
Journal further shared that they have used only acoustic instruments, some of which have been made by themselves, for recoding the songs.
The album will be released simultaneously on internet and in conventional CD format. ‘We will unveil the album cover at a musical programme titled Walton Ghorey Ghorey Gaaner Utsab, which will be aired on Channel i at 1:00pm on June 1,’ informed Jarnal.
The band lineup includes Rahul Anand, Kanak Aditya and Saiful Islam Jarnal on vocals, Shariful Islam on violin, ABS Xem on guitar, Sanjay on chondrabaan, Rana Sarwar on percussions, Shyamal Karmakar on drums and Fazlul Kader Chowdhury Mithu as sound engineer.
