Examinations of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) scheduled to be held on November 13 (Wednesday) have been shifted to November 22, due to extension of hartal called by BNP-led 18 party. The JSC test for Wednesday will take place at 2:30pm on November 22, while JDC test for the day would be held at 2pm on November 23 said a press release issued by the Education Ministry on Sunday.
JSC aspirants were supposed to sit for physical training and education and JDC candidates were expected to sit for Bangla Second Paper on Wednesday (Nov 13).
Earlier, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Saturday announced three examinations of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) scheduled to be held on November 10, 11 and 12 (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday) have been shifted to November 14, 16 and 21 due to 72-hour nationwide hartal called by BNP-led 18-party.
The JSC examination earlier scheduled for November 10 and November 11 will begin at 10 am on November 14 (Thursday) and November 16 (Saturday) while that of November 12 will be held at 2 pm on November 21 (Thursday).
Besides, the JDC examinations for November 10 will be held at 10 am on November 14 (Thursday) and those for November 11 and November 12 will be held at 2 pm on November 21 (Thursday) and November 22 (Friday) respectively, the minister said.
Earlier, two JSC and JDC level examinations scheduled for November 4 (Monday) and November 6 (Wednesday) were rescheduled for November 9 (Friday) and November 10 (Saturday) due to the 18-party’s non-stop 60-hour hartal.
A total of 1,902,746 students are taking part in the JSC and JDC examinations under nine educational boards. Of them, a total of 1,587,313 students are taking part in the JSC examinations under eight general boards, while 315,433 students appearing under the Madrassa board.
