The 40th founding anniversary of Jahnagirnagar University Journalists’ Association was observed on Thursday on at the campus amid much enthusiasm and fanfare.
With the slogan ‘Eksahte Jegesi Muktir Sarathi’, the university wore a festive look with colors festoons and lightings to mark the day.The vice-chancellor, Prof Anwar Hossain, inaugurated the occasion by flying pigeons and colorful balloons while pro-VC’s Professor Afsar Ahmed and MA Matin, JUJA president Kamran Seddiqui and secretary Imdad Haque and JUJA adviser Prof ATM Atikur Rahman were present.
Observing the day, the JUJA members along with VC and Pro-VC’s paraded the campus.
Later, the VC also inaugurated the paper cutting display on the university and the liberation war on the university cafeteria premises.
Besides, anti-corruption cartoons were put on display behalf.
