Formed in 2006, musical band Karnival has attained the attention of young rock music lovers in a very short span of time by means of its experimental rock music.
Karnival’s debut album “Indraloy” was released on September, 2009 and their three other tracks were featured in different mixed albums.
“We have almost finished the recording phase of our second solo album. Moreover, a few more fresh compositions have also been confirmed to be included in upcoming mixed albums,” said Tinu, the vocalist of the band, in an interview with New Age.
Amar sotyo, Dure, Bhabnar nil akash, Shesh parthona, and Bikkhoto, among others, are the popular tracks of the band among the youngsters. The band has created a different sound pattern with experimental rock music, which helped the band to steal the lime light since its journey began. The audiences do everything to rejoice including head banging, screaming loud and dancing when Karnival performs on stage.
The lineup of Karnival has changed several times and settled to its current line-up comprising Tinu Rashid on Vocals and Guitars, Salmi Rahman on Guitars, Mousum Dhamai on Bass and Khalid Ashraf on Drums.
The band is inspired by The Beatles, John Lennon, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Camel, Megadeth, Guns n’ Roses, Nirvana, Opeth, Coldplay and many other famous bands, said Tinu.
“With the inspiration from the works of these rock legends, our attempt has always been to bring Simplicity, originality and experimentation in our compositions”, claimed the band members.
The band is blessed with the support of leading rock stars of the country such as Iqbal Asif Jewel and Shafin Ahmed. The band has shared the same stage with many leading bands of the country in enormous number of concerts.
Addressing the issue that many of the country’s musical bands do not continue for long, Tinu said “With a motto to serve the country’s rock music, we are very sincere to continue our journey till the end.”
