Kolkata giants East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan AC gave their consent to participate in the Sheikh Kamal Gold Cup, scheduled to start in Chittagong in late October.
Organisers of the tournament, Chittagong Abahani, have finalised participation of the eight teams, which includes four local clubs Sheikh Jamal DC, Abahani Limited and Mohammedan SC, Solid SC of Sri Lanka and a Nepali club alongside the hosts.
Tournament coordinator Shakil Mahmud Chowdhury at a press briefing on Monday said that three local giants also verbally ensured their participation.
‘We are expecting their official confirmation within a couple of days,’ he said.
Shakil added that the hosts Chittagong Abahani will bear all the costs of the participating teams.
