Promising singer Somnur Monir Konal presented songs of different genres at a solo concert at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in
Gulshan 1 on Saturday evening.
Konal began her presentation with timeless Tagore song Amar Mukti Aloy Aloy at the programme, where she also presented Nazrul songs, folk songs, and also songs from her own album.Konal entertained the listeners with her rendition of evergreen Nazrul song Anjoli Laho Mor and Purob Desher Puro Nari in her tuneful voice. She also rendered hit numbers from her solo album Jaadu Bangladesh and Chhayar Majhe.
The singer’s presentation of popular folk number O Ki O Bondhu and Rudra Muhammad Shahidullah‘s Bhalo Achhi Bhalo Theko added an extra flavour to the programme.
Konal was accompanied by Shimul Borua on tabla, Emran Khan on acoustic guitar, Mohammad Kamal Hossain on bass guitar, Shafiuzzaman on keyboard and Hanif Ahmed on octopod.
