Noted singer Kumar Biswajit is nowadays busy working for a new solo album, containing eight new songs of diverse genres.
The artiste has shared about his upcoming
album in an interview with New Age.
‘The songs of the album have been created by noted musician Prince Mahmud,’ said Biswajit, the singer of superhit songs including Tore putuler mato kore sajiye, Tumi roj bikele amar bagane, Ekdin bangali chhilam rey, O dakter, and many others.
‘I have given priority on diversity in terms of lyrics of the songs for the album so that the songs entertain listeners of different tastes. Some of the songs will be romantic and melancholic while some will uphold the spirit of the youth,’ further informed the capable singer.
‘However, right now I will not disclose the song titles as I want my fans to be familiar with the songs once the album releases,’ added Biswajit.
Biswajit also informed New Age that production house G Series will be in charge of production and distribution of the album, which he is planning to release upcoming Eid-ul-Azha festival.
‘I am taking time in creating an album as I am a believer of quality and not quantity and that is why my fans might find my albums infrequently released. I only think of recording an album for the listeners whenever I find the songs satisfying for myself in the first place,’ revealed Biswajit.
He also shared that he follows a specific method when finalising a new song. ‘First I study the lyrics, then I scrutinise the tone of the song; once I find these two things satisfactory, I look at the song compositions,’ informed Biswajit,
Biswajit also shared that he generally decides an album’s title right before its release; therefore, he will decide a suitable title for the new album prior to the launch.
Kumar Biswajit is also a popular playback singer having received the National Film Award for playback singing twice- in 2009 and 2011.
