Noted singer Kumar Biswajit presented his hit numbers in a solo musical programme held on Friday at the
Indira Gnadhi Cultural Centre in Gulshan.
The singer also rendered a Tagore song and two Hindi songs of Kishore Kumar at the two-hour show.
The programme began with presentation of a Tagore song titled Jadi tor daak shune keo na ashe. The audience enjoyed the song presented with western instruments such as keys, guitars, drums and percussion by Biswajit, who is popular for rendering songs on Afro-Latin rhythm.
He moved the audience rendering one after another hit numbers such as Jekhane simanto tomar, Chandanago and Tumi jodi bolo.
Audience also enjoyed his presentation of Latin rhythm based compositions such as O daktar and Basonto chuyechhe amake.
He also gave soulful presentation of melodious songs such as Mago ma and Ekdin kannar rol uthibe.
Audience enjoyed Biswajit’s rendition of two cover songs Mera jiban kora kagaj and Mere naina sawan badhan, both of which were recorded by legendary singer Kishore Kumar.
The show ended with presentation of Kumar Biswajit’s very popular song Ekdin bangali chhilam rey.
