Farida Parveen, the renowned Lalon singer has returned home after recovering from serious health issues that required extensive medical treatment.
She was admitted to the hospital on February 1 due to respiratory distress, along with complications related to diabetes, high blood pressure, and thyroid problems. After spending several days in the ICU, she gradually improved and was discharged under medical supervision.
Ashish Kumar Chakraborty mentioned, “At first, her condition was quite critical. However, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the medical team, she slowly recovered. There was a time when dialysis seemed necessary, but thankfully, it wasn’t needed. Now, she is fully healthy. We have given her specific guidelines to follow closely; otherwise, complications could arise again.”
Farida Parveen began her musical career in 1968 as a registered artist of Rajshahi Betar, initially performing Nazrul Sangeet. By around 1973, she became well-known for her patriotic songs. She later trained in Lalon Sangeet under the mentorship of Moksed Ali Shah.
