A former high official of Unique Group was found dead, with hands and legs bound,
at a building in the capital’s Moghbazar last night.
A mob might have beaten Abdullah Masud, 40, to death before leaving the body at the basement
of SK Tower, said Ramna police.Talking to this correspondent, security guard Hasan at the 10-storey high rise said he saw a man breaking the back glass of a car parked in front of the building around 8:30pm. Taking the man for a thief, the guard yelled for help.
Hearing the guard screaming for help, some staff of Just Multimedia at the building rushed to the scene and gave a good beating to the man.
After about half an hour, the guard heard that the man died.
Law enforcers recovered the body around 9:30pm and detained 10 people in this connection.
Family sources said Abdullah had two children, but both died young. So he lost his mental balance.
