A man was stabbed to death for protesting at stalking of his wife in front of Comilla Government College in the town Monday noon.
The deceased was Nurul Islam Apple, son of Tazul Islam of Chotora area in the town.
The police quoting local sources said some spoiled youths had been stalking Ayesha Akter, wife of Apple and a first year student of the college, for the last few days.
When Apple came to know the matter he went to the college and was locked into an altercation with them youths over the issue this noon.
At one stage, the hooligans stabbed Apple on his chest with a sharp knife, leaving him critically injured at around 12:30pm.
Later, he died on way to general hospital.
