A man has surrendered to the police after killing his wife at Gulshan in Dhaka.
The police recovered the body of Neela Mehrun, 25, from the Hotel Purnima Wednesday morning.
Shahbagh police sub-inspector Mina Begum told the news agency that the husband, Hasan, came to the police and confessed his crime at 9:00am.
Later, Gulshan police were informed it immediately, he said.
Meanwhile, the hotel authorities took Neela to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead, Gulshan police SI Mohammad Ramzan said.
Initially it is suspected that Neela was beaten with iron rod and then strangled.
Neela hails from Miabari at Gopalpur in Tangail.
Hasan claimed that he committed the murder after he learnt of Neela’s extra-marital relationship with another person.
