People from all walks of life have been paying tributes to the martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Rayerbazar this morning, marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day.
Most of the people, including teachers and students from different educational institutions, were wearing black clothes, a symbol of mourning. Many people were carrying small placards and festoons in their hands.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the Martyred Intellectuals Day, children’s organisation Kendrio Khelaghar Asor is holding a symbolic sit-in programme there to pay tributes to the martyrs.
