Bank Asia senior executive vice president and chief business officer (SMR) Md Arfan Ali has recently been promoted to deputy managing director, said a press release.
Md Arfan did his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka and started his career with Arab Bangladesh Bank as a probationary officer in 1991. Subsequent to that, he served Hanil Bank (now Woori Bank) of South Korea from 1996 to 1999 prior to joining Bank Asia.
He joined Bank Asia in September 13, 1999 and worked as head of branches and headed other important departments at the corporate office.
Md Arfan is also a part-time faculty at the Institute of Business Administration, Jahangirnagar University.
