Popular band Miles left Dhaka for its month-long official tour in the US. The band will perform several concerts in different cities in the US tour on Tuesday.
It will be the Miles’ second tour in the US 16 years after since its first official visit in the US as a first Bangladeshi band in 1996, said the band sources.
In its US tour, Miles will be performing in cities like New York, Florida, Chicago, Los Angeles, At Lanta and New Jersey. They will be return in mid November.
All the members of the band are thrilled and excited for the upcoming visit. Sharing his feelings Iqbal Asif Jewel, guitarist of the band, said, ‘I am very thrilled and hoping to put a great show in every concerts in the US.’
Supplementing him vocalist and bassist of the band Shafin Ahmed said, ‘We are excited since we will be performing in the US after 16 years.’
‘We will present our music to different types of audiences in the US. It will be an opportunity for us to be connected with new fans. And of course, the Bangladeshi expatriates living over there will also love to enjoy the shows, since they listen our music only on CDs. But, live performance will be really exciting,’ Shafin hoped.
Members of Miles further informed that the band will take initiative to release its latest album Protichhobi after the US tour.
‘We are ready with the album but just for the unfortunate dispute with the production houses, it has been delayed,’ Jewel told New Age.
