A minor girl was killed in collapse of a pillar of a dilapidated house in the Khulna city Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Ajhora, 7, only daughter of a businessman Mujahidul Islam Tutul. She was also a student of Class I at Khalishpur Jamiatul Madrassah.
Ajhora was taken to the Khalishpur Clinic but the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
She died on the spot as the pillar suddenly collapsed on her head, locals said.
According to her father, the accident occurred when the girl was playing beside the hanging pillar of the dilapidated house at Tayeba Colony of Khalishpur.
The KCC had already identified the building as risky among 48 others.
