Hemanta Vincent Biswas, captain of the Bangladesh Under-19 national football team along with Bimal Gharti Mager, captain of the Nepal U-16 national team are trying to adapt to the Dutch weather, said Bangladesh assistant coach Rene Koster on Tuesday via e-mail.
Hemanta and Bimal are now in the Netherlands to undertake a trial with top flight club FC Twente Enschede. The duo will play a practice match in front of all the coaches and directors of the Dutch club.
In order to be selected for the main team, Hemanta and Bimal will have to perform well in today’s practice match.
‘Both of the players [Hemanta and Bimal] did better on [Monday] than in the first training session. I spoke with the coach and he told me that the players did well,’ Rene wrote in the e-mail.
‘Tomorrow [Wednesday] they will play a game which will be observed by all the coaches and directors. So Wednesday will be a very important day for them,’ he added.
Hemanta and Bimal are staying with a local family in Hengelo, close to the training complex of FC Twente.
Hemanta and Bimal have played two practice matches so far – FC Twente U-17 against AZ Alkmaar U-17 and FC Twente U-23 against Sparta, both held on Saturday.
