Directed by Gautam Ghosh and produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd, the much acclaimed film “Moner Manush” will be screened at the Richmond International Film & Media Arts Festival in BC, Canada, according to a press release.
The festival will be held from July 21 to 24.
The film, an adaptation of a Sunil Gangopadhyay novel, has been jointly produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd and Aashirbad Chalachchitra of Bangladesh, and Rosevalley Films Network of India.
The film has been scripted and edited by Gautam Ghosh. Ghosh directed the film’s music as well. The cast includes actors from both India and Bangladesh: Prasenjit, Paoli Dham, Chanchal Chowdhury, Raisul Islam Asad, Champa, Rokeya Prachi, Priyanshu Chattopadhyay and others.
The festival in Richmond, British Columbia, organised by Cine-Evolution Art Society, aims to connect with filmmakers and artistes from across the globe and exchange views.
“Moner Manush”, based on the life of mystic bard Fakir Lalon Shai, was adjudged the “best feature film on national integration” at the 58th Indian National Film Awards.
