Mohammedan Sporting Club completed round robin phase of the Premier Hockey League with a 5-1 win over Wanderers Sporting Club at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium on Friday.
Mohammedan captain Russell Mahmud Jimmy scored three goals while Imran Hasan Pintu and Salman Hossain added one goal apiece. Bishal pulled one goal back for Wanderers.Beaten by Dhaka Mariner Young’s in the previous match, Mohammedan returned to winning ways to put themselves in the third position of the points table with 26 points from 11 matches, two points behind leaders Usha Krira Chakra.
Abahani Limited also has 26 points with a game in hand.
The second match between Bangladesh Sporting Club and Wari Club ended in 2-2 draw.
Zihan and Krishna scored a goal each for Wari while Prince and Siraj Ali added one apiece for Bangladesh SC.
