Close Up 1 star Muhin is in the news because his 3rd solo album Ghum Ashey Na was released on 23 August. He expects the new album will touch the hearts of music lovers.
“Released under the banner of Agnibina (G Series), the album is the outcome of my hard work of two years. Through the tracks in this album, the music lovers will find something different,” said Muhin in a conversation with daily sun recently.
Muhin Khan grabbed the attention of music aficionados in the country through his participation in the talent hunt show Close Up 1.
Asked about his 3rd solo, Muhin said, “It will speak about human love, pain, sorrow and happiness. The album features a total of 11 tracks, including the title song. The songs of the album include Ei to bhalobasha, Keno bolte hoy, Jajabor, Tomake bhabi na, Khunji tomay, Bohurupi, Ek polokei, Tumi Jodi chao and the title one.”
“Music director Avijeet Jeetu has composed six numbers of the album and the rest have been done by Masum, Kishor and Sabbir. Jahid Akbar, Mahmud Manjoor, Rabiul Islam Jibon, Torun and TI Antor have written the lyrics of the songs,” he added.
“The 3rd solo album also carries a duet number, Ek polokei sung with Ronty Das, another Close Up 1 star. The song is tuned by me. And this is the first time I gave tune to any song,” Muhin said.
To promote the numbers of the album, Muhin will be performing in some live shows. In his words, “On the occasion of Eid-ul Fitr, I shall be performing on Eid special programmes on BTV, ntv, RTV, Ekushey TV and Boishakhi TV.”
Looking back to his early days, Muhin recalled, “Born and brought up in a culturally-oriented family, I was always inspired by my parents to learn music. I received my music lessons from Ustad Abdul Aziz and Ustad Nur Hamin Rizvi (Birprotik) in my childhood.”
Muhin said, “The platform of Close Up 1 was a major leap in my music career.”
While speaking about his Close-up 1 venture, Muhin said, “Becoming the first runner-up in the 2006 Close Up 1 was really something which provided me with a much-needed exposure to pursue my music career.”
After the Close-up 1 contest, Muhin embarked on his music career. “My first solo album, Tomar Jonno was released in 2008 from Sangeeta shortly after my musical tour in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. In 2009, I appeared in the music scene with my second album Gopon Kotha. Both the albums received a good response from the music lovers,” he added.
Apart from his audio albums, Muhin is also busy as a playback singer in the film industry.
Muhin said, “I have been singing as a playback singer since 2006. Recently, I have sung a duet Shurjota dure gele payna chand alo with Porshi for a film titled Pirates the Black Secret directed by Noman Robin.”
Asked about his future plans, Muhin replied, “In the present situation of audio piracy and free downloading, it is really difficult to make a future plan for any singer.”
