Italian coach Flavio Raffo arrived in Dhaka on Sunday to take charge of Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra for the upcoming football season. Muktijoddha appointed him as replacement of former coach Shafikul Islam Manik, who guided the team for the last three seasons.
The 41-year-old Raffo started his coaching career in 2006 after he retired from professional football when he represented different Serie B and Serie C clubs.
The UEFA Pro (part completed) coach was hoping to bring success for the Muktijoddha in the upcoming season.
‘I am glad to be here and even though I don’t have much knowledge of Bangladesh football,’ Raffo told reporters on Sunday.
‘I am confident that I will be able to do something good with Muktijoddha Sangsad,’ said the Italian coach.
Raffo managed Ivory Coast’s premier division side Africa Sport D’Abidjan and Oman’s premier league outfit Al Ittihad before coming to Dhaka.
