The cricketing fraternity in Bangladesh heaved a sigh of relief as national captain Mushfiqur Rahim came unhurt after his car had an accident on his way to practice in Mirpur on Monday.
The mishap took place at the Kalshi signal when a private car rammed the vehicle from behind, which was carrying Mushfiq to the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
All the vehicles at the signal were moving forward at a brisk pace after the display of the
green light and a private car suddenly hit Mushfiq’s car but the skipper was unharmed.
The driver of the car immediately apologised to Mushfiq and gave him a lift to the SBNS with the promise to pay for the damages to Mushfiq’s car.
However, the accident could hardly have any impact on the mind of the national skipper as he practised without showing any kind of worry.
The Tigers are making preparations for the forthcoming series against the Kiwis in October, comprising two Twenty20 internationals, two Test matches and three one-day internationals.
