Naomi Campbell is one of the most influential people in the fashion world. She has officially earned her doctorate. The University for the Creative Arts recently conferred an honorary doctorate on the former supermodel.
The University for the Creative Arts awarded him this award for his outstanding contribution to the world of international fashion over several decades.
He received his degree alongside hundreds of fashion design, graphics and creative business graduates at the Royal Festival Hall in London and gave an emotional speech to them.
Naomi Campbell said in her speech, ‘Fashion is my profession but it is also my passion. I started working in this industry at the age of 15 and have not stopped for the past four decades. I have dedicated my entire life to making the world of fashion better by challenging the industry to make it a diverse, accepting and different place of beauty on the catwalk and beyond. It is a privilege to be recognized for this.’
He also said to inspire all the graduates, ‘Never let anyone change the way you feel, the way you look and what you want for yourself. Above all, never stop.’
