Awami League presidium member Mohammad Nasim on Wednesday termed the greatest lie of the century the BNP’s allegation of concealing dead bodies from Shapla Chattar after a drive by joint force early Monday. “At this age how is it possible to conceal bodies? This is not possible at this age of information technology, but BNP has come up with the allegation of concealing dead bodies…this is the greatest lie of the century,” he ridiculed.
Nasim said this while addressing a press conference at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmoni political office. “BNP has called hartal for two days and held gayebana janaza for establishing their falsehood,” he said.
Nasim claimed that there is no incident of hiding bodies from Shapla Chattar and said, “The Hefajat men were driven out peacefully and in an unprecedented way. Residents of the area got relived as the Hefajat men have been dispersed.”The Awami League leader said BNP-Jamaat and Hefajat are the two sides of the same coin. “Their main leader is Khaleda Zia.”
He said the activists of Hefajat, BNP and Jamaat who burned the copes of holy Quran are the enemies of Islam. The religion-loving people of the country won’t forgive them.
“All have to stand united against the identified evil forces,” Nasim, also the former Home Minister, added. Awami League leaders Ahmed Hossain, Faridunnahar Laily, Dewan Shafiul Arefin Tutul, Badiuzzaman Bhuiyan Dablu and Mrinal Kanti Das were, among others, were present in the press conference.
