Exhibition T20
Nasir denied Canada visa
Bangladesh all-rounder Nasir Hossain cannot go to Canada due to visa complications.
Nasir was scheduled to fly out for Canada tomorrow to play a T20 exhibition match between Asia XI and Rest of the World XI to be held in Toronto on May 12, but he didn’t get the visa to travel.
“I’m not going [to Canada] because I didn’t get the visa. I don’t know why I was denied,” said Nasir.
Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations committee informed that they tried to solve the issue but ultimately there was no chance for Nasir to play the match.
Cricket Canada has arranged the match to raise funds for the development of the sport in the country and they confirmed Nasir for the Asia XI for an amount of 5,000 Canadian dollars.
