Former England skipper Nasser Hussain has once again rubbed the Indians the wrong way as he called some of the fielders “donkeys” during the one-off Twenty20 match between India and England on Wednesday.
Sitting in the commentary box, Hussain made the controversial comment after Parthiv Patel misjudged a Kevin Pietersen catch off Munaf Patel’s bowling.
“I would say the difference between the two side is the fielding. England are all-round a good fielding side. I do believe that India have few…3or 4 very good fielders and one or two donkeys in the field still,” Hussain said.
His unwanted comment invited criticism from all corners. “It is not acceptable and no one has any right to say such things, ever for your own team. It’s a gentleman game and the BCCI should send a strong letter to the International Cricket Council to avoid such things in future,” Pakistan legend Zaheer Abbas told a TV channel.
