The finalists of the National Cricket League one-day version will be decided today with all four teams, competing in the second phase, having some kind of chance.
Barisal will face star-studded Dhaka at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium while favourites Rajshahi will take on the NCL’s dark-horse Khulna in the other match at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
Barisal are topping the table with 10 points while the other three teams are level on eight points. If Barisal lose to Dhaka then three teams will have equal 10 points and in that case the finalists will be decided on their head to head record.
If head to head record fails to bring any solution, run rate will come into consideration and Rajshahi have an edge in this regard. They have a positive run rate, + 1.24, better than any other side while Dhaka also have some advantage with +0.24 run rate. Barisal have -0.02 run rate and Khulna are languishing at the bottom with -0.22.
