A newly formed company, Green Energy Management Services (GEMS), will support mobile operators in Bangladesh to use energy-efficient technology to cope with the mounted energy crisis and make a green environment.
The organisation is a joint venture between ACME Tele Power Ltd of India and Crystal Future Venture Ltd of Bangladesh.
At a press conference following a contract inked between the two sides at the Westin Dhaka hotel yesterday, the officials of the Indian firm focused on the objectives of the new venture.
“With Crystal Future Venture as our partner, we’re uniquely positioned to offer end-to-end innovative energy management solutions to the telecom industry here,” said Sandeep Sethi, chief executive officer of ACME Tele Power.
“The main objective of forming GEMS is to increase the energy efficiency primarily in the telecom sectors and we had already made contract with some major telecom operators of Bangladesh” said Sabbir Ahmed Khan, managing director of Crystal Future Venture..
GEMS will provide a complete range of services, from site acquisition, microwave planning to installation, commissioning and operating of site infrastructure, including energy management elements.
