Reception and orientation of newly enrolled students for the Fall 2022 semester were held at the MH Khan Auditorium of the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in Dhaka on Saturday.
Engineer Md Mohiuddin Ahmed, vice-chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, attended the programme as chief guest, while professor Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, pro-vice-chancellor of the AUST, and professor Mustafizur Rahman, treasurer, spoke as special guests, said a press release.
The programme was chaired by professor Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, vice-chancellor of the university.
Professor Md Mahmudur Rahman, dean of the Faculty of Engineering, professor Jasmin Ara Begum, dean of the Faculty of Architecture, professor Saleh Md Mashehdul Islam, dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Science, professor Muhammad Saiful Islam Mallik and proctor Md Zillur Rahman spoke on the various issues of rules and regulations as well as guidelines.
Academic discipline and extracurricular activities at the university were also highlighted in the programme.
Newly admitted students Zannatul Ferdous, Tasfia Aerin Sarker, Bristy Roy, Faiad Nakib, Sanjida Islam, Sharaf Al Habib, Faiza Tasnim Rafsa and Nazmus Sakib expressed their feelings about getting admission to the university.
