Doctors warned Kumar Nibir’s family that although his condition is improving, he is still in danger. Nibir was badly hurt in a car accident that killed three Bangladeshi students in Toronto on Monday night.
Quoting a relative of Nibir’s mother, Naima Sultana, Bangladeshi expatriate journalist Shaogat Ali Sagar told The Daily Star that Nibir was still in the intensive care unit of the St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Nibir, son of singer Kumar Bishwajit, is currently being fed through a tube.
Quoting Bishwajit’s cousin Abhijeet Dey, Neel Utpal, owner of Canada’s Nandan TV, told The Daily Star, “Nibir’s basic health parameters are more or less normal. Presence of white blood cells is high due to abdominal trauma. That will require surgery.”
Nibir’s parents are currently in Toronto. In a post on social media, Abhijit Dey asked everyone to pray for the speedy recovery of Nibir.
Bangladeshi students Shahriar Khan, Angela Barai and Aryan Dipta were killed in a road accident in Toronto last Monday at 11:30pm local time. Kumar was seriously injured in this incident. All four of them are students of Humber College. Earlier, journalist Shawgat Ali Sagar had informed that Nibir was driving.
