Padma Bank Limited has celebrated this year’s International Women’s Day in line with the women’s day theme ‘DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality’.
Padma Bank managing director and CEO Tarek Reaz Khan was present as the chief guest in the event organized at Gulshan Corporate Head Office on Sunday, said a press release.
The chief guest exchanged greetings with women staff of different branches of Dhaka and greeted them with flowers and chocolates.
Addressing the event, Tarek Reaz Khan said, ‘every woman is successful in her own place. Women are doing very well on digital platforms and the scope of work for women has increased in various sectors including marketing, finance and banking.’
He urged the women to move forward facing the obstacles with courage in their workplaces.
Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin, DMD and CBO of Padma Bank, was present at the event as special guest.
He exchanged views with female colleagues.
Newly appointed DMD and CBO Emtiaz Uddin urged the women employees to be self-confident.
Women employees shared their challenges and success stories in the event.
Head of RAMD and Law Feroze Alam, CITO Md Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Head of Corporate Affairs and Brands Shayantani Twisha, and senior officers of different departments were also present at the Women’s Day celebration.
