Pakistan Cricket Board officially responded to Bangladesh’s letter over the postponement of a planned tour in January, said the officials on Wednesday.
The BCB informed its Pakistani counterpart of its decision though a letter last week and were waiting for a reply in the official channel.
‘We received their reply yesterday (Tuesday),’ said acting BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury, without elaborating. Chowdhury, however, insisted that the PCB’s reply has no indication of a strained relationship between the two boards.
‘They said nothing which could hurt our relationship. The PCB also has no particular reservation about sending players in the BPL [Bangladesh Premier League],’ said Chowdhury.
Media committee chairman Jalal Younus added that the PCB also invited the BCB high-ups to visit Pakistan for an official discussion.
‘They said the door is always open for discussion and they also invited our president and CEO to visit Pakistan at a convenient time,’ he said.
