Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel organised an iftar and dinner party for children at its Oasis on Tuesday, said a press release.
More than 300 hundred children from different children welfare institutions were invited to the party.
Civil aviation and tourism minister Md Mahbub Ali, attended the event as the chief guest.
Among others, civil aviation and tourism ministry secretary and Hotels International Limited chairman Md Mokammel Hossain, Hotels International Limited managing director Md Anwarul Islam Sarker, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel general manager Robin James Edwards and other members of Board of Directors and senior officials of Hotels International Limited and Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel attended the event.
Children gathered for this occasion derived from non-profit institutions such as Jamey Ambarshah Madrassah O Yatimkhana, Jamiya Faruqia Dhaka Madrassah and Yatimkhana, Darul Ulum Jamil Madrassah and Yatimkhana, Hatirjheel Ahsanul Ulum Madrassah o Yatimkhana, Al Jamiatul Islamia Mofta Ulum Madrassah and Yatimkhana, ASHIC Foundation and many others.
Under the Community Care and Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel has organised this Children’s Iftar Party to provide orphans a memorable experience of this Holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager of the hotel said, ‘Through this function in the month of Ramadan, the underprivileged of the society have got the opportunity to come to this five star hotel – Pan Pacific Sonargaon, mostly visited by the opulent mass of the country. This initiative will help bridge the gap between the affluent and the deprived section of the modern era.’
