Combined pass rate 80.39pc

The pass rate and the number of candidates securing grade point average of 5 in the Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations declined in 2023, according to results published on Friday.
The results show that the combined pass rate this year stands at 80.39 per cent, down from 87.44 per cent in 2022.
The number of students obtaining GPA 5 decreased to 1,83,578 in 2023 from 2,69,602 in 2022.
The education minister Dipu Moni announced the results at a press briefing held at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on the day.
Replying to a question, she said that the pass rate reduced as the students sat for examinations on all subjects and on full marks and time this year.
However the candidates gave examinations in shortened syllabus.
This year, the examinations started on April 30.
Earlier Prime minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the results of the Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations-2023 Friday morning.
The PM released the results after receiving the combined result statistics of the SSC and equivalent examinations from the Education Minister at a ceremony at her official residence Ganabhaban.
