The golden moments in seasoned actor Kabori Sarwar’s life is on display at a photography. exhibition at the Nalini Bhattasali Auditorium of National Museum, Shahbag in the capital.
The splendid career of four decades as a film actor and as a politician associated with the ruling party Awami League, as well as her personal moments have been portrayed.About 200 hundred photographs – captured by different photographers and individuals – are on display at the six-day exhibition titled Amare Tumi Ashesh Korechho, which has been organised by Green Valley Foundation. The images portray glimpses of the acting life of Kabori, her moments as a member of parliament, and her cherishing moments with renowned film personalities of Dhaliwood and Bollywood.
One of the photographs shows young Kabori outside her work, relaxing and reading a book at her resident in 1964. Most of the photos which were taken professionally are by the photographer Manowar Ahmed, who has captured the artiste at shooting spots of different films as well.
Collected images show Kabori spending time in different counties like Hungary, France, USA and UK.
A very rare image shows Kabori standing between the noted actor Bulbul Ahmed and the legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, both of whom enacted the character of Devdas. Another photograph shows the artiste with other Bollywood stars like Jitandra, Om Puri and Nana Patekar.
Kabori as a family person has been revealed in one of the images where she can be seen with her five sons.
Kabori as a political leader has been depicted in photographs where is has been captured in delivering speech and talking to the commoners as an MP.
Inaugurated on September 27, the exhibition will remain open from 12:00 to 8:00pm today.
