Nasir Hossain outshined his illustrious national team partner Shakib Al Hasan in the final as Pirates of Chittagong became champions in the CJKS Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament with a 37-run victory against FMC Fighters at the MA Aziz Stadium yesterday. Player-of-the-match Nasir Hossain smashed two fours and five sixes to make 63 off 37 balls as Pirates posted a fighting total of 155 for nine in their share of 20 overs. Shakib claimed two wickets for 31 runs in four overs.
In reply FMC Fighters were bundled out for 118 runs. After they lost both openers in the first two overs, Shakib smote two fours and as many sixes, but his run-a-ball 30 failed to take Fighters across the line. The left-hander was however won the player-of-the-tournament award for taking eight wickets and scoring 91 runs.
