Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returns home tomorrow (Wednesday), a day earlier than scheduled, after shortening her official visit to Belarus. Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said that as per the new schedule, the Prime Minister will leave Belarus today (Tuesday) at 11.30 pm (local time) and arrive Dhaka at 1:50 pm on Wednesday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was accorded a red carpet reception on Monday night on her arrival in Belarus capital Minsk in the first ever visit by a head of Bangladesh government.
The visit was a reciprocal one after Belarus Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich visited Dhaka in November last year.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will have a tête-à-tête with her Belarus counterpart Mikhail Myasinkovich at the House of Government today (Tuesday) apart from the official talks between the two countries.
The official talks will be followed by the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs). Later, the two prime Minister will attend a joint press briefing.
Hasina will attend a state banquet this (Tuesday) evening, to be hosted in her honour by the Belarus Prime Minister at ‘Frunze 15’, the official residence of Myasinkovich.
The Prime Minister will also call on Belarus President Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko and address a joint business council meeting.
