Bangladesh Police moved to the final round of the upcoming 27th Federation Cup after a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan in the play-off at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday. Right-winger Zahirul Islam was the difference between the two sides with a goal and an assist as Bangladesh Police secured the vacant spot in Group C alongside Team BJMC and three-time Federation Cup winners Brothers Union.
Amirul Islam put his team ahead on 25 minutes after receiving a pass from Zahirul while the latter registered his name on the scoresheet in the 39th minute.
The Federation Cup is scheduled to begin from November 21 with 12 teams split into four groups of three teams each with the top two teams from each group progressing to the quarterfinals. The final will take place on December 6.
All the matches will be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
