Once Dhallywood heartthrob Sadika Parveen Popy, widely known by her nickname, is all set to make a comeback this week playing the heroine in Char Akkhore Bhalobasa. The film that features a love triangle is directed by Mohammad Zakir Khan. The film awaits release in 50 cinemas across the country on Friday, Popy told New Age. Ferdous and Nirob will play the other major characters in the film. Popy starrer last film Garments Kanya was released in 2012. Popy has been off the screen for almost three years because the actress has been a lot more selective about choosing roles.
‘I have worked in a film after many days because the script was very appealing. The songs and cinematography were done nicely, and therefore, I would request everyone to go to cinemas and watch the film,’ said Popy to New Age.
‘I would especially like to request women viewers who have stopped going to cinemas, to give the film a try, as it is a film worth watching with family,’ added the actress.
Popy debuted in Amar Ghor Amar Behesht, a movie directed by Shohanur Rahman Shohan, which released in 1996. She has won three National Film Awards in the Best Actress category for films—Karagar in 2003, Megher Kole Rod in 2008 and Gongajatra in 2009.
